Power crisis in Kerala: "Time of day" metering is the way to go!

All of us have seen the KSEB campaigns to reduce power consumption, especially during the peak hours. Good move from KSEB! The campaign has helped bring down the consumption, but then, even this alone would not do... :( The power crisis is still lurking around the corner.

Me feels, its high time we move to "Time of Day" metering. A high tariff during the peak hours and separate tracking of power consumption during these hours would surely "motivate" people enough to switch off the refrigerators & the extra lights during the peak hours. What do you think?
